Practical, spacious and economical car but not without faults.............

This is my second mk3 X1 and overall am happy, love the economy as averaging high 40's mpg and on a recent trip from London to Inverness average 51.1 with an average speed of 68 mph so pretty amazing. Very roomy and comfortable and ride is good but overall this is not an exciting car to drive (and it is not sold as such to be fair). it is very well made and looks very modern and clean cut inside. Electric seats and adaptive cruise control great extras to have and the pan roof lets in loads of light.
Negatives are the fiddly drive 9 touchscreen, it is a step on from drive 8 and is simpler but it is still way to complex to operate on the move and the voice control is very hit and miss so does not help.
The main issues have been the over air updates, the first one totally disabled the car and it had to be dragged onto a flatbed to go to the dealer for 3 days (handbrake locked so not movable) and the second upgrade won't install so car off to dealer again later today for them to install. Must be said also that dealer service has been poor, won't name the dealer but it is west London.
Overall a good car but the above negatives would probably stop me buying another.
